Jerry Biller Receives Award
Jerry Biller (left) receives the 110% Award for Rotary District 7570, Area 2. The award is presented by Gannon Irons, Assistant District Governor. Area 2 is comprised of the Rotary Clubs of Strasburg, Woodstock, Mt. Jackson-Edinburg, New Market and Luray.
Jerry Biller, Past President of the New Market Rotary Club, was recently recognized for his contributions to the Rotary Club of New Market. In his nomination, President Peter Hughes stated "Too many times, great stories about really good people don't get much attention." President Hughes went on to detail Jerry's many efforts on behalf of the Club.
He led the Club in starting a 5K race for charitable fund-raising. The race is in its 4th year and is held annually on Memorial Day. Membership is a priority for Rotary and Jerry was instrumental in bringing five new members into the Club.
Other areas where Jerry is consistently involved is in assisting the local Food Bank, coordinating the donation of turkeys for Thanksgiving. He supports the Club's sending students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, taking them to Blacksburg each December.
Jerry is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, Luray. He lives in New Market with his wife, Jennifer, and three children.
