PDG Mary Keely who died March 20, 2019.  Rotary Club of Roanoke Valley (VA), District 7570.  Served District 7550 in 2010-2011.

December 1, 1946 March 20, 2019 Mary Elizabeth Keely, 72, of Roanoke, Va., peacefully passed away with family by her side on March 20, 2019. She was born December 1, 1946, in Ashland, Ky. The daughter of late Paul and Harriett Lumbard. She is survived by her husband, Robert Keely; son, Mark D'Alessandro, wife Erica and grandson Carson of Arnold, Md.; son, Matthew D'Alessandro of Roanoke, son John D'Alessandro, wife Bernadette and grandson, Drew of Roanoke, step-son David Keely, wife Cheryl and granddaughter Christina, sister Sue Reynolds. She was a graduate of Marshall University with a degree in Accounting/Finance and worked several related jobs throughout her career and owned her own business in Florida. When she returned to West Virginia she became manager of the Huntington chapter of the American Red Cross. Mary was an active member at her local church, Colonial Presbyterian. She was in the governing body of the church as the representative of the finance committee. She was passionately involved with various Rotary Clubs and was a past District Governor of District 7550, which served all Rotary Clubs in southern West Virginia. Being a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, she was a strong Rotary Foundation supporter. Mary was also on the social committee of her HOA at Colonial Place Drive. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Colonial Presbyterian Church with a luncheon to follow in the reception hall afterwards. We would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses of the Lewis Gale Hospital Emergency Room. To support Mary's passion in the Rotary Foundation, all Paul Harris Fellow Rotarians are asked to wear their medallions. In leiu of flowers the family requests that people support their local church missions or Rotary Club International Foundation.
