The members who participated said "Literacy work is not just for schools. We are so proud to be gathering books for prisoners. Reading improves the mind and can change a life."
The
Rotary Club of Lynchburg will continue to collect books for the prisoners and they encourage those who have books – fiction or nonfiction – to deliver them to the club which meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Oakwood Country Club, 3409 Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg.
