  • Describe the Project, its location and its objectives: Each December the Rotary Club of Marion hosts a “Breakfast with Santa”. All children under the age of 12 get a free breakfast, the chance to meet with Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas and receive several age appropriate books from the Rotary Club of Marion. Those 12 and over pay only $ 5.00 for the breakfast buffet prepared by the staff at The Restaurant at Hungry Mother State Park.

  • Describe how the project will benefit the community and/or improve the lives of the less fortunate: Each child under the age of 12 will receive several age appropriate books from the Rotary Club of Marion. Many of the children do not have books in their homes and this gives them the chance to fall in love with ready.

  • Describe the Rotarian hands-on activities in the project (i.e. non-financial participation): Rotarians collect money at the door from those 12 and over, assist children in approaching Santa, hand out books and take pictures of the children with Santa.
  • Describe the publicity plan to inform the general public that this is a Rotary sponsored project: Flyers are sent to all area elementary schools telling about Breakfast with Santa. We also post in on Face Book.
