  • Describe the Project, its location and its objectives: Each December we host a "Breakfast with Santa". All children under the age
    of 12 get a free breakfast and the chance to visit with Santa and tell
    him what they would like for Christmas. They then receive several age
    appropriate books from the Rotary Club of Marion. Those over 12 and
    adults pay only $5.00 for a breakfast buffet prepared by the staff at
    the Restaurant at Hungry Mother State Park.

  • Describe how the project will benefit the community and/or improve the lives of the less fortunate: Each child under the age of 12 will receive several age appropriate books.
    Many of the children do not have any books in the home and this will
    give them chance to fall in love with reading.

  • Describe the Rotarian hands-on activities in the project (i.e. non-financial participation): Rotarians collect money at the door from those over 12, assist children
    approaching Santa, hand out books and provide pictures with Santa.
  • Describe the publicity plan to inform the general public that this is a Rotary sponsored project: Flyers are sent to all area elementary schools and also posted on Face Book.
