  • Describe the Project, its location and its objectives: This project provides and delivers food for needy children in high schools once per week during the school year 2017-18.

    The schools participating are Graham High School, Graham Intermediate School, and Graham Middle School.

    Those kids do not have anything to eat when they go home to eat on the weekend because of poverty or impaired parents.

  • Describe how the project will benefit the community and/or improve the lives of the less fortunate: By providing food to these kids they will be able to focus on other things besides looking for their next meal. This will benefit the community as a whole.

    These kids will be able to focus on other things to help themselves and their families.
  • Estimated Total Project Volunteer Hours: 60
  • Describe the Rotarian hands-on activities in the project (i.e. non-financial participation): The Rotarians will buy and pack the food and then deliver it to the schools. The schools will give the needy students the food in a discreet manner.
  • Describe the publicity plan to inform the general public that this is a Rotary sponsored project: Pictures of Rotarians will be taken packing the backpacks and will be posted on facebook and other social media.
