Area Visits

I have really enjoyed visiting with everyone during the Area Visits. I love hearing about your club’s projects, seeing your passion for helping your communities, and fellowshipping with each of you during our time together.
An official District Governor visit to each area is extremely important so that our entire district is working towards the same goals throughout the year and focusing on our shared vision. The purpose of the area visit is to:
  • Listen to Area & Club Leadership, understand your concerns, and work together to identify options or solutions;
  • Share information with District Rotarians regarding International and District initiatives and goals for Membership, Public Image, and Foundation;
  • Facilitate opportunities for service, both locally and globally;
  • Communicate directly with Rotarians in our District;
  • Answer questions about our District, Rotary International, and The Rotary Foundation; and
  • Thank and honor Clubs and individual Rotarians for their service!
A special thank you to those areas that I have visited thus far and to the Area Governors for organizing these events – whether in person or virtual. I’m looking forward to visiting with the areas that I haven’t visited yet and learning more about your club!
