Details on Friendship Exchange with Australia

We’re happy to announce the Friendship Exchange with District 9550 (Queensland, Australia):
  • Best time of the year to visit: May 2018
  • Point of entry: Cairns, either direct or via Sydney or Brisbane (approx. 28 hours from Dulles Intl.)
  • Points of interest: Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and Atherton Tableland. Also, attend District 9550 Conference in Ingham (between Cairns and Townsville). Visit Townsville, Charters Towers and Outback, view some of the best dinosaur fossils in the world! Return through inland route back to Cairns.
  • Duration: 14 days
  • Team size: 4 Rotary couples, may include some Rotary singles
 
District 7550 Rotarians pay their own way to/from Cairns, Australia and for local transportation (mini-van recommended). Remember, Australians drive on the opposite side of the road as we do in the United States.

District 9550 Rotarians provide lodging hospitality, breakfast and some Aussie cooking. Attending the District Conference may include extra expense (details to follow soon).
