  • District 7570 is happy to be able to continue the Group Study Exchange program for 2018-19. We have arranged for an exchange with District 3510 in Taiwan to take place from late March 4th to late April 4th. Taiwan is an amazing place to visit. The team will be immersed in their culture and experience incredible cuisine, diverse temples and religions, tour amazing educational and agricultural networks and incredible hospitality. Your help is needed to identify Rotarians who would be interested in participating as the team leader (must be a Rotarian) and team members who may or may not be Rotarians. All applicants for team member should be 35 years or younger and if the applicant is a Rotarian, they should have 5 or less years of service in Rotary. The applications and other information for both are on the district website at http://www.rotary7570.org/GSE2 .

Applications can be filled out on line, then simply click [Submit].  While a little out of date the "Team Manual" will give them an idea of what they can expect. The applications for Team Leader are due August 15th for interviews to be conducted on September 9th. The team member applications are due September 1st for interviews to be conducted on September 30th. Any application related questions should be sent to tmccall@btes.net.

Having been a team leader to District 3510 in 2013, I can tell you it was a life changing experience. When invited by my Classmate, District Governor Patent to participate in another exchange with them, I quickly said yes. You are experiencing the country, not just observing as a tourist. I highly recommend participating in the GSE program to all Rotarians and hope you will consider applying or encouraging others to do so.

    Yours in Rotary Service,

    George Karnes - Governor
