RYLA

We are less than one month away from our District-wide RYLA events that will be taking place across our District on Saturday, December 4.  This year’s RYLA event is different than years before.  On December 4, four different in-person RYLA events will be happening simultaneously! Events are taking place at the following locations:

  • Northern Virginia 4H Center, Front Royal, VA
  • Skelton 4H Center, Wirtz, VA
  • The Inn at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA
  • Tusculum University, Greenville, TN

Dr. Adolph Brown is our keynote speaker for the event.  Dr. Brown is well known for inspiring and encouraging participants to tap into their inner potential to create the change they want to see.  Presentations and teambuilding exercises will focus on RYLA's key focus areas of leadership, communication, and collaboration. Participants will also learn about Rotary, Interact, and Rotary Youth Exchange.  This year's unique RYLA events across our District will be an engaging and transformative experience for all participants!

Please share the
application and information found here with your local schools, homeschool groups, school counselors, and others!

Reminder: As a Rotarian, if you will be participating in RYLA and interact with the youth in attendance, you will need a background check.  Background checks are needed for Rotarians and other volunteers at Rotary sponsored events for those with direct supervision of youth, unsupervised contact with youth, or one-on-one interaction with youth (including those who drive youth).  Are you unsure if you need a background?  Go here for more information:
