Governor's Corner

New Rotary Year

Dear Friends,

As our new Rotary year begins, I want to first extend my deepest appreciation to you, your families and the members of your club for the work that you do for your community, our Rotary District, and the entire world. What you do matters! Having the opportunity to work with you this upcoming year to fulfill the mission of Rotary is such a privilege.

I have met so many of you, particularly the leaders throughout our District who serve the coming year as Club Presidents, Assistant Governors, and District Committee members. I believe we are blessed to have so many people willing to devote time and energy to help those who are less fortunate than we are. Serving as your District Governor, alongside this strong group of leaders, is an experience that I will always cherish.

Our 2019/20 International Theme, “Rotary Connects the World,” sums up the feelings I have for each of you in that the love we extend in our relationships with each other, in our localities, and even throughout the world, is the core of who we are as Rotarians. I leave for now with Rotary's Vision Statement as we move forward:

“Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

Thank You,

Tim Carter
District Governor
