Governor's Corner

As quickly as this Rotary year began, it is coming to an end.

Dear friends,

As quickly as this Rotary year began, it is coming to an end. The message this month will be short because I do not have the space to thank everyone who has helped me, my family, the district, your clubs, your communities, and Rotary International this year.

I want to give special thanks to all of the Area Governors, District Committee Chairs, and District Committee members for their help in the administration of the District. Many of you may not know how much effort, time, and work that they put in to making our District what it is in the Rotary world. They are an incredible group of people, and I love them all very much.

Another special group that deserve my, and all of our, deepest appreciation are the club Presidents, President-Elects, Nominees, club officers, and club members that manage and lead the clubs of our district. They are truly the backbone of this organization and I am so grateful for their service and work.

Some exceptional people that may not get a lot of attention as the year goes along are those in the District Governor Group (past and future). They are a tremendous resource and I would have been lost without their guidance, advice, and help. Thank you so much Chris Runion (16/17), Richard Ray (17/18), George Karnes (18/19), Nancy Whitlock (20/21), Tara McCall (21/22), and Kathy Kanter (22/23).

Lastly, I am so thankful for my wife, Karen, and daughter, Mona. I know they have enjoyed the love that you all have given them along this journey, and I enjoy their love and continual support.

So, here is your task District 7570: as clubs begin to meet again and we have a greater picture of the needs that COVID-19 has brought us, along with our main efforts to eradicate polio and provide love and support in our communities and the world, please know that I love you all so much. I will be there to help you personally, within your club, and throughout the Rotary world whenever you call. Thanks so much!
