District 7570 Receives Wheelchair Matching Grant
Meet Juan. He is one of over 2,000 people in the Caribbean and Central and South America with mobility issues you helped over the past seven years through the District 7570 Wheelchair program. He will be joining us at the District Conference. The Wheelchair Foundation has recently given District  7570 a $21,000 matching grant to provide a container of wheelchairs. Gates Foundation Continues Support
Rotary and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced on January 22 that their long-term fundraising partnership, which generates up to $150 million annually for polio eradication, will continue. Under the agreement, Rotary is committed to raising $50 million a year over the next three years, and each dollar will be matched with an additional two dollars by the Gates Foundation. 3rd Annual Women in Rotary Tea a Huge Success!
Forty women, representing more than 15 different clubs, in three different Rotary Districts, came together for the 3rd annual Women in Rotary Tea Party! What a great collection of servant leaders and practitioners of "Service Above Self." The Rotary Club of Lynchburg Downtown organizes this event each year under the direction of Past President LaShonda Delivuk. Botetourt Rotary Club Donates $500 to the Hope to Walk Foundation

Todd Hester ia a Presbyterian Minister and a member of the Rotary Club of Salem.  This article appeared in The Roanoke Times on September 11, 2019.  The Rotary Club of Salem will be raising money to eradicate Polio during Olde Salem Days on Saturday, September 14th.  The booth will be located in front of the Salem Library and next to the Vendor Registration Table. Join us for Olde Salem Days 2019 and help us eradicate Polio by dropping a donation in our club's blue buckets!

Rotary Peace Centers alum gets big prize
Rotary Peace Centers alumnus and member of the Johnson City Morning Rotary Club Kiran Singh Sirah recently accepted a $10,000 prize on behalf of the International Storytelling Center as winner of the Peacebuilding Big Idea Challenge, an international competition sponsored by the Purdue Peace Project.    The winning entry was for the design of “Europa,” a state-of-the-art videogame that gamifies storytelling.   Watch the trailer here: https://on.rotary.org/30wUQQp
